I do enjoy Lady Julia and Brisbane... and the eccentric March family. While the "mystery" isn't what I'd call a true mystery, and the story seems to linger while Lady Julia stumbles and blunders, vacillating between being proud and apologetic about her actions, there is something about these stories that draws me in. If you're a mystery fan who demands clues and twists and solid detective work, the Lady Julia series is not for you. If you're a die-hard romance fan, used to a bit of steamy description in your romances, this series is not for you. If you enjoy a read that allows you to relax, get involved with interesting characters in Victorian England, this series might be for you.
