I tried... I really did. But I just couldn't read past the first few chapters of this book. As a rule, I love Georgette Heyer books -- they're among my favorites. But the 2 main characters in this book were so grating, I couldn't imagine reading 200+ more pages of them. I'm sure it's a perfectly good book, but it didn't engage me as other Georgette Heyer books have done. I didn't care two figs about either main character -- Kitten (Hero) seemed too... naive, stereotypical female? Sherry seemed too.. uncaring, selfish, blustering male.So I put the book down to move onto the other books in my To Be Read pile.
