A lush story interwoven with enchanting children's stories of faeries and fairytales... Well-drawn characters and a captivating story of love, loss, and finding one's identity when that identity seems to have been stripped away. A very well-told tale!My only gripe is the author's use of the back-and-forth-through-time means of telling the story. The device does work to delay the thrill of the answers and the very big "twist" to the final answers... but IMO, there is too much jumping back and forth. I'd have appreciated a bigger block of the various perspectives within a single time frame. At times, I felt whiplashed! And I admit to skimming ahead to confirm what I already knew, so that I could enjoy the story.
