My Life in France

My Life in France - Julia Child, Alex Prud'Homme I enjoyed this book - felt like I was sitting down and having conversations with Julia, as she remembered how she felt her life "began" when she moved to France and became enamored of French cooking. But, unfortunately, just as a conversation would, the book meandered too much for me. I found my interest waning 1/3rd of my way into the book. The conversations seemed almost too disparate. And I'd seen "Julie & Julia", which, IMO, did a very good job of reducing Julia's life in France down to its essence -- like one of Julia's wonderful sauce reductions.
